Press reports state that Rosmah Mansor, wife of arch criminal Najib Razak, has made a report to the police alleging that she has been slandered.

As if such a thing is possible! What reputation can anyone have after being found in possession of jewellery bought by her husband with stolen public funds. Something of which she is aware but has done nothing about.

And what does she expect the police to do? Earmark some plastic explosive?

More to the point why does she not simply use the civil courts. If she thinks she has been slandered or libelled she has a civil remedy. Why not use it? Well maybe it is because if one goes to Court to complain of defamation one has to show that one has a name and reputation capable of being slandered. Big problem for be-jewelled “First Lady”. Second actually as she ranks below the Raja Permaisuri Agong even if she thinks and acts as though she does not.
