Putting candour ahead of propaganda for once Deputy PM Zahid admitted publicly that Malaysia had failed in its war on drugs.

So UMNO is not infallible after all. Of course not, but it is refreshing to hear a top UMNO boss admit it in public.

But why stop there? Even in the limited field of law enforcement; in which narcotics offences fall, UMNO have failed totally to enforce the criminal law.

Is Zahid unaware that a criminal Prime Minister, to whom he is Deputy, is still at large after stealing vast amounts of public money? An offence just as grave as drug trafficking.

When can an abused electorate expect to hear such admissions? When political memoirs are published; from Sg. Buloh.
