The impending visit to Malaysia by US Secretary of State Pompeo is very good news for all Malaysians. It shows that relations with the US, badly damaged by the criminal activities in the US of Najib and Jho Low, have greatly improved with the victory of the democratic PH administration.

No doubt there will be many matters on the Prime Minister’s agenda for talks with the visitor, including CPG activities in the region and also, of course, action against Najib over 1MDB and the US aspects of that matter.

All in all, very good news. Malaysia is respectable again. Not tied to Beijing and ready to co-operate with Washington to preserve peace and stability in the SE Asia area.
