How Very Convenient

A leading PAS personality has stated publicly that declaring assets is “unIslamic” and has even quoted what he states is Islamic doctrine to that effect. It is not necessary to query the correctness of his source. Believers in Islam will know what weight to attach to this statement of “doctrine”

What DOES matter, and should concern all practicing Islamists, is the string of revelations recently made public abut the acquisition by prominent PAS personalities of houses, cars and other material assets, apparently with the help of funds provided, unlawfully, by BN, using public money stolen by their leaders.

Whether or not it is in future proved in the criminal courts that offences have been committed by PAS members in that context remains to be seen.  In the meanwhile contrived excuses for hiding criminally acquired wealth should be avoided; by religious teachers, and everyone else.
