The king of forked tongues, Najib Razak is reported as claiming in public that his calls for unity had prevented UMNO from fracturing.
That many UMNO members, including members pf the Federal Assembly, have left it is an undeniable fact. It is all very well to call those who have done so “frogs” and their individual motives may well differ. That is for them to explain if they so wish.
But “calls for unity”! United in what? Mega criminal activity? Membership of the Sg. Buloh ex-inmates club? Or, still less likely, a shareholder in the distribution of stolen public money.
It is increasingly clear that in allowing this apparent mega crook freedom to do what he pleases other than flee the country PH have made an error. When a person is accused of criminal breach of trust he cannot go around publicly claiming he is an honest person whose words can be trusted. If not actually in custody pending trial then his bail conditions should prevent further attempts to do what he is accused of. While it may be too late to act against Najib the bail conditions of other BN crooks awaiting trial should be appropriately varied.
