Not As Good As The Old Ones?

The Prime Minister is quoted, hopefully inaccurately, as saying that some public officials had to be got rid of because of their involvement in corruption but that these were better than their replacements.

No doubt he was misquoted but a correction should be issued to avoid voters getting the impression that the head of the PH government thinks that corrupt public servants are to be preferred because of their alleged greater competence. Any public officer who takes bribes is not only worse than his honest co-workers but is a menace to good government and should be transferred at once; to prison.

After years of BN misrule the public service became so widely corrupted that it will take some time to clean it up thoroughly. But that must be done. And done before GE15 if PH are to have any chance of retaining power.
