It is difficult to understand why convicted criminal Najib Razak is treated differently from all other Malaysian criminals. The latest indulgence relates to the filing of his “appeal” against conviction. The normal rules fix a period during which any appeal must be filed with the Court of Appeal. But in the case these rules are not being enforced. Why not?
Is it because he used to be a person of importance in Malaysia? Before his mega criminality was exposed? Or what? The public are entitled to an explanation. Will it be forthcoming? Don’t hold your breath. In Malaysia its not who you are but who you were that counts. Moo will be happy to learn that lesson.
