Police And Politicians

The open spat in the Press between a section of the PDRM which is supposed to be cloaked in secrecy and members of a political party which forms part of the governing alliance is neither seemly nor proper.

No one disputes the necessity for the PDRM to have an element, or elements, operating in conditions of secrecy in order to safeguard national security. But that does not mean that such police , or any of their senior officers, should go on public record with what can be interpreted as semi-contemptuous dismissals of political personalities.

It is the role of the Police to investigate and submit the results to the prosecuting authorities. NOT to seek publicity, especially when the unit to which they belong is supposedly secret. PDRM please note.
