The continuing political alliance between PH and Sarawak’s re-named BN members in the Legislative Assembly stinks more and more every day.
Even if it had been thought justifiable in order to assemble a majority for amendment of the Constitution the Assembly is sitting but no amendment has been tabled. So what are those who voted for PH and clean government supposed to think?
If they smell a rat they cannot be blamed fir doing so. Politicians, regrettably, often tell what are called “white lies” to further their political aims and policies. They also piously denounce “frogs” and vow to have nothing to do with such contemptible persons. But the facts are the facts and the Sarawak members of the Assembly now sitting on the government benches were elected to support criminal “bossku”, and privately still do.
Changing their support to PH was and is no more than an attempt to stop any enquiries by MACC or anyone else into the half century of institutional mega corruption and theft that has been the hallmark of Taib administrations.
No one with even a very limited knowledge of Sarawak affairs and its history since the formation of Malaysia can claim to be ignorant of the continual rape of both the State’s timber and its government revenues by the criminal Taib administrations. Turning a blind eye is one thing. Permanent blindness quite another. And both amount to criminal actions.
If PH are serious about cleaning up public life they cannot honourably stop at bossku and his criminal associates. Sarawak cries out for a massive MACC investigation and the longer this is blocked the lower PH will fall in voter estimation. They will know what that means.
