A PAS personality is on record as saying that if “a teacher” can afford to buy a car for RM200,000 there is no reason why he cannot afford one costing half that sum.
It is a pity that he could not, or did not, name the fortunate teacher who, in addition to all his daily and monthly costs, can pay that sort of price for a car. Most of this (mythical?) teacher’s colleagues certainly cannot afford this sort of purchase, at least from their salary incomes.
Perhaps the politician (pictured in a fancy car) will make public the identity of the teachers who can share his good fortune in owning luxury vehicles. Readers are advised not to hold their breath while waiting.
What is really distressing is that any political figure should think that any elector is dumb and ignorant enough to swallow such a tale.
