After the very recent claim by the PDRM that the whereabouts of wanted criminal Jho Low were known to them the IGP is now quoted in the Press as declaring that it is”highly unlikely” that Jho Low is in the United States! That is putting it mildly! As a foreign national he would have to apply for a visa and the US criminal authorities are not asleep.
Maybe the IGP was speaking in jest but in such matters he should be careful about what he says and quick, where appropriate, to correct misquotations. If the police really do know where this very wanted criminal is they should use all means open to them, Interpol included, to get him arrested and returned to Malaysia.
If, on the other hand, they do not know where Jho low is then the expression “discretion is the better part of valour”should apply.
